The north of the island of Tenerife

The Silos

About halfway from Garachico to Buenavista del Norte, the small village of Lós Silos looks out from among the banana plantations.. The town situated at the foot of the Anaga massif is really charming. Its central point is the Plaza de la Luz with a musical gazebo in the middle, around which the most important monuments are concentrated: the white church of Nuestra Seńora de la Luz z 1570 r. and the 17th-century building of the Order of San Sebastian. The surrounding streets are lined with colorful tenement houses built in a traditional style. In Los Silos, you can meet hikers more often than tourists - several interesting routes begin in the town (e.g.. to the settlements of Erjos and Talavera in the mountains).

The buses of the line stop in the town #107 departing from Buenavista del Norte via La Laguna to Santa Cruz de Tenerife and #363 z Buenavista of the North of Puert de la Cruz.

Northern Buenawista

A small village at the foot of the Teno mountain range is actually nothing special – a few blocks, market square with a 16th-century church rebuilt after a fire in 1996 r. and a gazebo in the center, ruins of the order and inhabitants, who don't expect too many tourists. That is why it is worth coming here – the authentic Canarian atmosphere is really in abundance here.

There is a bus to Buenavista dcl Norte several times a day from Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Puerto de la Cruz. You can also reach the village of Masca in the heart of Teno from here. There is a small tourist information office and several pubs by the market square, where it is worth stopping by for a coffee. Behind the square invites the recommendable restaurant La Cabana, serving real home cooked meals. You must visit, apparently, the best pastry shop on the island, The Aderno.

Buenavista Golf W 2003 r. Buenavista Golf has been opened near the town.

The 18-hole course overlooking the ocean and the Teno Massif is considered one of the most beautiful on the island.
