The lagoon – Guide

THE LAGUIUA

Communication

Arriving in La Laguna by car should not be difficult for anyone - the city is actually right next to the highway from Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Parking space may be a bigger problem – finding even a square meter of free space is almost a miracle. You can try your luck at Plaza de San Francisco and at Plaza de San Cristobal (both approx. 10 min walk from the old town).

The tram from Santa Cruz de Tenerife to La Laguna is the fastest and easiest way to get to. The last stop is practically in the old town. Okay, although due to traffic jams, buses are a much slower alternative (the fastest is direct #015). From the bus station (c / Don Ouijote -Pollgono Padre Achieta s / n; tel 922259412), ok. 10 a min walk north-west of the old town, buses to Punta de Hidalgo leave (#105), The Orotavy (#062), Cross port (#102), Buena Vista del Norte (#107) and towards the Teno Massif (#077).

Unlike hotels, There are plenty of dining options in La Laguna, and thanks to the presence of students, you can choose between many establishments offering inexpensive and uncomplicated dishes. One of the most popular venues in the city is El Tonique (c / Heradio Sanchez 23; tel 922261529), where they serve excellent peppers stuffed with cod.
