The northern part of the island of La Gomera

Agulo and surroundings

Perched on a small plateau, over the tree cliff, Agulo is undoubtedly one of the most picturesque towns on the island. It is worth coming here even for a moment and going for a walk along the narrow streets, look into the richly flowered gardens, and most of all admire the beautiful panorama of the coast of La Gomera and the spectacular view of Teide and Tenerife. Walking through the streets, it is worth getting lost in the vicinity of the city's main square, next to which stands the neo-Gothic Iglesia de San Marcos. In spring, this charming place offers visitors an additional attraction – from the rock, in the shadow of which lies Agulo, a waterfall flows down. Persons, who will decide to stay in this charming place for longer, can stay in La Escuela apartments. Tasca La Vieja Escuela and La Żula offer tasty meals with the La Molina panoramic terrace on the main road to Yallehermoso. You can go to La Lila or Los Chocos for a coffee – both invite you at the bus stop. There is a post office in town, pharmacy and police station. The San Sebastian-Vallehermoso bus stops here.

Abrante viewpoint

Place, the most beautiful of which is Agulo, is Mirador Abrante on the top of the rock overlooking the town. To get there, należy udać się do Visitor Center Game of Balls, from where a narrow asphalt road leads to the viewpoint.

The roses

Las Rosas is actually a district of Agulo, however, the famous Las Rosas restaurant operates here, to which many tourists come. The place definitely doesn't serve the best food on the island, however, crowds are drawn to the waiters, communicating with each other by means of the famous Gomera whistle. Gourmets should head to the Roque Blanco restaurant. The road begins in Las Rosas, which leads to the Garajonay National Park Information Office.

tamargada

On the way from Agulo to Vallehermoso, you pass through a small cluster of traditional Canarian houses. To Tamargada – probably the most photographed village in La Gomera. White houses, rocky terraces on steep hills and palm trees create a really charming picture.
