BIKE TOURS

Across Tenerife by bike

Tenerife has plenty to offer cyclists, both including, who want to admire the beauty of the landscape calmly and with this, who are looking for more adventures. You can choose between steep, multi-kilometer ascents and descents in the mountains, or take a gentler coastal route. While exploring Tenerife by bike, you have the opportunity to visit less known parts of the island as well as admire all the natural beauty that the island has to offer.

The most interesting bicycle routes on the island:

1. Teno Massif located in the North- Western Tenerife is one of the most beautiful regions of the island with the most inaccessible towns. It is very mountainous here, so be prepared for a real challenge! It's a circular route, which starts and ends in Orotava with a drive through the lovely village of Maska halfway. It takes all day to cover the route and it consists of a lot of sharp climbs and requires hard braking during descents!

Length: 112km

Level of difficulty: Pregnant

Most interesting places: Maska village situated in a mountain valley, a great place for well-deserved rest and photography.

2. The most popular routes across the island lead to the El Teide National Park. This tour begins in La Orotava and ends in El Portillo. Take the main road towards the massif, going through green valleys and pine forests along the way. The road will then lead us to the lunar landscape formed during the eruption of the El Teide volcano.

Length: 75km

Difficulty level: Pregnant

Most interesting places: El Teide National Park, the charming village of Aguamansa, perfect for relaxing or dining.

3. This tour begins in La Laguna and takes us on a journey to the North- eastern Tenerife. We set off towards Las Batanes along a forest road with a beautiful panorama of the ocean. Then we go to the forest path towards Las Carboneras, then return to the main road and return to La Laguna.

Length: 80km

Difficulty level: Moderate

Interesting places: A small secluded bar near the end of the forest path near Las Batanes where many cyclists stop to rest.

All the routes described above require good physical condition and are not recommended for people, who do not cycle regularly. For everyone , who would like to admire Tenerife by bike in a less strenuous way, we recommend bus trips, we take our bikes to El Teide Park and from there we have the option of choosing four downhill routes (the orotava, guimar, Aaron, The Giants). All routes are extremely interesting and will be an unforgettable adventure.
