The capital of the island is the place where Christopher Columbus travels, a stop-off port before his great expeditions into the unknown. There is a water well in San Sebastian, which was dedicated to America, an old house where the sailor stayed and a modest museum showing the history of his travels.

The tour program includes a visit to the town of San Sebastian de La Gomera, then a tour of the island with stops at viewpoints showing the extraordinary charms of the island. Steep passes, popularly known as "barrancos", covered with lots of terraced plots, tiny villages situated at the foot of mountains and hills are some of the most interesting views and places, where the inhabitants of the island live to this day.

We will visit the oldest laurel and heather forest in the world with over 400 species of exotic plants and shrubs. Today it is the territory of the National Park entered on the UNESCO cultural list. Old laurel trees and huge heaths reaching several meters, they give a specific mood to this eternally foggy forest.

Plans for lunch in a beautifully situated restaurant "Las Rosas", combined with a demonstration of whistled language, which were once used by "Guanches" - the indigenous people of the Canary Islands. This form and ability to use sound has survived to this day as one of the traditions of their ancestors.

The banana garden will be another place of our visit, and mango in it, papayas, avocado, and bananas, the place where these and other fruits grow. After visiting the center of the island, we will go back to its capital, where the participants of our trip will have free time, for a walk through the streets of San Sebastian.

The last point of our trip will be a return cruise to the port of Los Cristianos in Tenerife.
