Communication, orientation and information

Icod de los Vinos can be reached by bus from Puerto de la Cruz (#354; codz. 7.30-22.30 co 30 min; ok. 45 min; 2,50 €), Santa Cruz of Tenerife, and even from Playa Amśricas (#363; 8 ok. 1 time. 30 min; 4,5 €) Oraz The Giants (#325 ok. 1 time. 40 min; 5 €). The bus station is situated northeast of the center, no more than 5-10 min walk. The town is not big and you can visit it on foot - the old town is pedestrianized. Accommodation and gastronomy

There is nowhere to stay in the town itself, however there are some beautiful casas rurales in the area. Mostly you have to stay for at least a week, however, e.g.. complex of three houses Finca Las Breveritas (Camino Las Breveritas s / n; tel 922302853, fax 922302853, info@ecorural.com, www.ecorural.com) offers rental for one night or weekend.

In the north of the island, with few exceptions in the form of restaurants for participants of organized bus tours, the food is just good. In Icod de los Vinos you can eat in the pleasant restaurants of Agustina Rosa WSan Sebastian 15; tel 922810792) and the pita (pc. of the Constitution 2; tel 922813428), and also Carmen in the main square.
